Thursday 9th May. Cartagena 6 years ago
This picture is where you and me were on this day 6 years ago. You were standing right next to me when I took this picture, looking at this same building. We spent a week in Spain in May, 2013. You were almost four years old. We took Evelina with, so she was there as well. You loved Spain. And Evelina. And me. We stayed at a resort called La Manga, and you swam everyday. Happy times. Funny to think how that all changed just 6 weeks later. Neither you or I could have guessed on this day 6 years ago in Cartagena, what was about to happen to our lives. British family law.
Here we are 6 years later. I am writing from a coffee shop in Dana Point today. It is pretty warm, as usual. I am almost finished my two big projects. Hoping to release both in June, so am putting in lots of hours on that. I did 12 hours of work yesterday.
I haven’t heard anything about your visit this summer and so I must assume that Amlot and Adler intend carrying on as they have done for the past 6 years. It continues to make me sad, but at least this year is different because it is not just you and me who know what they are doing, and why.
Eventually you will be able to see me and I am looking forward to that day.
